| So, today was interesting.
I forgot my cell phone. I needed it. I had gotten a message the day before from Blue Coyote about applying. I was excited, so i was supposed to call in the morning between breaks during Summer School. I had the number in my cellphone. I was also gonna go walk over to Kristen's but I didn't know how to get there. So, I called Lucy during break of Math and asked her what Kristen's number and address was. I'm so bothersome.
So, at the end of school at 12:45, I called her, but no one answered. So I just walked till I got to west acton and went to a pay phone. I tried to call, but realized I didn't have any money, so I improvised. I visualized how to get there. I knew it was on Arlington St. Probably one of the first streets off of it, her street and number thanx to Luce, and that there were a lot of turns from Arlingtong to her street. So, I just kept walking and saw these skateboarders... really bad ones who were like 12 and checking me. So I would've asked them but I was like *yegh!* So, the first turn was Cherry Rile or something so I figured I'd try it. Kept walking along, and went off another street and found myself on a busy road. Confused, I walked on for about 2 minutes when I saw an Auto Body shop. I asked one of them "Keep going that way, go left on Summer, right on Ethan Allen, and it'll turn into that street." I said thank you and started thinking about how good things can happen to people. I was actually feeling really gracious about the luck I've had throughout my life. so, I kept walking until I saw a big whit sign with a tree covering it. From what I saw was "B~~borough". "Aw, you've gotta be kidding me." I walked closer, and sure enough I crossed the Boxborough line. I went to the other side, yup I was in Acton.
I walked back wards as the idiots in our town honked and waved even though I didn't know them. "Your shortshorts!" Olivia had said. Bleh, it's hot out! "Audrey's hot!" Shut up! Damn you, Olivia. Anyhoo, I was right. I was on 111, those guys must've been on crack. Nooo, Kristen does not live in Boxborough. Damn them. So, I just kept going till I got to west acton with all the stores and stuff. I went to the realtors cuz they'd obviously know where it was.
I went there, and there was this really nice guy! He searched for the street on his computer, and when it didn't show up, he looked it up in his folder. It was really nice, he let me use the phone. So I called Kristen.
That was pleasent. Apparently she didn't think I was serious when I talked to her last night on AIM. Here's the convo or something like it: Me: Hey, you wanna hang out tommorow? Kristen: Sure Me: I get out of Summer School at 12:45 Kristen: No one who can drive will be home (blah blah I can't pick you up, etc etc) Me: No, that's fine, I'll just walk over. Kristen: Ok.
that was it. Okay, I don't know what she thinks about plans... I dunno, she can be quite "flaky" as my mom calls it. I dunno, I'll talk to her sometime. But I'd hate to make a big deal out of it cuz then she'd think I was really upset but if I didn't she wouldn't remember. Anyways, she said I couldn't come over after wondering around Acton/Boxborough for an hour and a 1/2 so I called up Lucy. I felt really bad, cuz in the mean time the realtor guy printed out a map for me to get to Kristen's house and highlighted it! But called Lucy and I went over there, not without thanking the realtor a lot, course. Nice man.
Summery at Lucy's: told her about what happened, chatted, drank lots of water, ate popcorn her bird kept trying to bathe in, family friends came over, the daughter tortured (exageration) Poppy, the bird "shat" on my head, and finally, I called up Blue Coyote.
Turns out, I got the job! So excited! Calling tommorow about training and times and schedual! No idea how much the pay is, but at least I am getting paid!
I've also found out that video I did for Devil In the Kitchen, according to their site, it was too controversal so they had to get rid of the link to it. Score! I'm in a controversal video!! ...that sounded bad.
Who knew ma lost her sense in using the tv? She's so incapable...
How's your summer going?
